Hawaiian Hardwoods Direct

George Waldmann

George Says: “Just saw your new website and it reminded me of the fact that I bought a bookmatched koa top about a year ago from you. Attached is a pic of the guitar I built. Koa over swamp ash body, maple/rosewood neck. The pickguard is etched aluminum. I based the Hawaiian lagoon scene on the old metal bodied National Resonators, and had a local artist do the etching. You can't really see it in the photos, but the neck pickup cover is engraved ”Aloha.“
